Chanticleer Holdings kicks off second Burgers Grilled Right location in Kuwait
Chanticleer Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:BURG) revealed Thursday that its franchise partner is opening a second Burgers Grilled Right (BGR) location in Kuwait.
In a statement, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said the most recent location is part of a 35-unit master franchise agreement covering four Gulf Coast countries.
"The better burger concept is popular in international markets. We are fortunate to have an experienced franchisee in place who shares our vision for the BGR brand in this evolving market," said Rich Adams, President of Chanticleer's American Roadside Burgers Inc unit.

The firm pointed out that the new BGR restaurant is owned and operated by master franchise operator Al Bassamiah, whose principal owner is Nasser Al Mutair.
BGR has a menu that places a focus on high-quality ingredients and burgers grilled over an open flame. The chain operates stores in the US and internationally.
Chanticleer owns and operates Little Big Burger, BGR, The Burger Joint and American Burger Co. In addition to what it calls its “Better Burger” portfolio, Chanticleer also owns Just Fresh, a chain that makes sandwiches and wraps, as well as eight locations of the iconic Hooters franchise.
Chanticleer shares were 5.1% lower at US$0.69 on Thursday.
