IKEA to enter Morocco by 2015

The world’s pioneer furniture company IKEA has recently announced the launch of its first store in Morocco’s Zenata by the end of 2015, reported Morocco World News.

The Swedish Company has invested EUR 40 million to build its second store in Africa; IKEA’s first store is located in Egypt.

The store, which will be built on a land space of 26,600 square meters, will provide around 1,400 vacancies, including 400 direct positions.

Kuwait’s Al-Homaizi Group will operate the IKEA store in Morocco. Noteworthy, the Group had operated the stores in Kuwait and Jordan.

According to Morocco World News, IKEA will “provide a wide variety of global products most will enter Morocco for the first time.”
