في خطوة إستراتيجية تهدف إلى تطوير وتوسيع خدمات التوصيل لديها، أعلنت ماكدونالدز الكويت اليوم أن جميع خدمات تــوصيل ماكــدونالدز ستصبح الآن متوفرة بشكل حصري عن طريق شركة زتات للتجارة العامة وخدمة التوصيل، والتي تمتلك موقع زتات، وهو أحدث موقع لتوصيل الطلبات عبر الإنترنت وتطبيقات الهواتف الذكية.وتهدف هذه الخطوة إلى نقل جميع خدمات التوصيل إلى شركة متخصصة، وبذلك تصبح خدمات توصيل وجبات ماكدونالدز الآن في متناول عدد أكبر من الزبائن، لتغطي بذلك مساحة جغرافية أكبر من أي وقت مضى. وابتداء من اليوم 1 أغسطس، سيتم إيقاف خدمة التوصيل الحالية لدى ماكدونالدز، وسيتم توصيل جميع الطلبات من خلال أسطول مركبات توصيل شركة زتات المتخصصة، حيث تحتوي جميع المركبات على شنط حافظة للحرارة والمواد الغذائية.علما أنه إلى جانب الطلب من خلال تطبيق وموقع زتات، يستطيع العملاء الطلب من خلال منصات «ماك توصيل» الحالية، والتي تشمل تطبيق الهواتف الذكية، الموقع الإلكتروني، وخدمة الطلب عبر الهاتف.وفي هذا الإطار، قال نائب الرئيس في ماكدونالدز الكويت لؤي الكيلاني: «منذ البدء بإطلاق خدمة «ماك توصيل» في عام 2015، شهدنا نموا كبيرا في الإقبال والطلب على خدمات التوصيل. ومن هذا المنطلق، وبهدف الارتقاء بخدمات التوصيل لدينا وخدمة عملائنا بشكل أفضل، قمنا باتخاذ قرار استراتيجي بالتعاون مع شركة زتات، سعيا إلى تطوير وتحسين عملية التوصيل وتوسيع نطاقها لنصل إلى عدد أكبر من الزبائن».من جانبها، اضافت المدير العام لشركة زتات للتجارة العامة وخدمة التوصيل نجلاء كرم: «كوننا من أجدد الشركات التي دخلت حديثا إلى قطاع خدمات توصيل الطعام، تعد شراكتنا مع ماكدونالدز خطوة مهمة ونقلة نوعية ومحطة بارزة في مسيرتنا.إن ماكدونالدز تعتبر من أبرز الأسماء في قطاع مطاعم الخدمة السريعة في الكويت وأكثرها شعبية، ونحن على ثقة بأنه من خلال تعاوننا مع شركات كبيرة ولامعة من هذا العيار، ستنجح زتات في تحقيق مكانة قوية لها بين شركات طلب وتوصيل الطعام في الكويت».

Fast food chain McDonald's said on Monday it planned to shut all 169 of its restaurants in India's northern and eastern regions, escalating a dispute with its local partner and potentially putting thousands of workers out of jobs.The U.S. company said it was "compelled" to take the action because its partner Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt Ltd (CPRL) had breached the terms of their franchise agreements. The decision by McDonald's India follows a prolonged legal dispute with the partner that had already led to the temporary shutdown of more than 40 outlets starting in late June. Vikram Bakshi, managing director of CPRL, told Reuters the decision came as a "big shock" and it was studying all its legal options. Madhurima Bakshi, a member of CPRL's board, said McDonald's outlets in the region employed 6,500 people directly and many more indirectly. All of the restaurants will have to stop using McDonald's name, trademarks, designs, branding, and recipes within 15 days of the termination notice, McDonald's said, adding it remained committed to northern and eastern India and had started looking for a new partner. "It will take time to bring the current situation to a final resolution," McDonald's said. It added it would try to mitigate the impact on employees, suppliers and landlords affected by the move.

McDonald's Qatar has announced that it has opened a new branch in Al Mirqab Mall.
